A spa night at home, for under $2
The best bit of a salon facial is lying back under a cool mask for 20 minutes. You can have that at home on any night of the week.
What you need
- A jelly mask ($1.76 a go from a $44 jar)
- A towel for your pillow
- Something to listen to
- 20 minutes when no one needs you
The order
- Set the room. Dim the lights. A warm shower first helps you switch off.
- Cleanse. Wash your face and neck, then pat dry.
- Mask. Mix and brush on a thick layer. Provence Lavender is made for this, with a calming scent while you lie back.
- Lie back for 15 to 20 minutes. Phone down. Let it set.
- Peel and finish. Peel from the jaw upward, rinse, and follow with your usual moisturiser.
Make it a habit
Once a week is enough to look forward to. On subscription a jar arrives before you run out, at $37.40.
